| Abstract |
Cross sections for diffractive elastic production of J/psi mesons in
photoproduction and electroproduction are presented. The dependence on
the photon virtuality Q^2 is measured for Q^2 < 80 GeV^2. The dependence
on the photon-proton centre-of-mass energy W is analysed in the range 40
GeV < W < 305 GeV in photoproduction and 40 GeV < W < 160 GeV in
electroproduction. The differential cross section dsigma/dt for J/psi
mesons is derived and its dependence on W and Q^2 analysed. The
assumption of s-channel helicity conservation is studied analysing the
decay angular distributions. Models based on perturbative QCD are
compared to the data. |
