Abstract Dijet production with a leading neutron (En > 400 GeV) and theta_n < 0.8 mrad is analysed for both direct and resolved photoproduction and for deep-inelastic scattering (4 < Q^2 < 80 GeV). Differential cross-sections are measured as a function of jet transverse energy and pseudorapidity and of x_gamma^jet,, the fraction of the photon momentum entering the hard scattering, and x_pi^jet, the fraction of pion momentum in a model where the interaction proceeds via the exchange of a pion. Monte Carlo predictions based on standard photoproduction and DIS processes or based on the one-pion-exchange model are compared to the measurements.
