Measurement of inclusive jet cross sections in photoproduction at HERA

Abstract Inclusive differential jet cross sections are measured in photoproduction at HERA with photon-proton centre-of-mass energies in the interval 95 < W < 285 GeV. Jets are defined in the pseudorapidity range -1 < eta_jet < 2.5 using the longitudinal invariant kt cluster algorithm in the laboratory frame. Measurements of dsigma/deta_jet above various jet-transverse-energy thresholds up to 35 GeV and in three ranges of W are presented and compared with QCD calculations. Measurements of dsigma/d E_T for jet-transverse-energies up to 75 GeV are compared with next-to-leading order QCD calculations.
