Abstract |
At low x in deep-inelastic scattering a major contribution to the cross section is expected to be best approximated by terms of the BFKL evolution equations, while the Q2 driven DGLAP terms are supressed. This is expected to lead to a new parton dynamics. In this paper, we investigate the onset of this new dynamics by measuring correlations in the cascade of initial state gluon radiation, where differences are expected. The k_t ordering of the gluon propagators and the compensation of the k_t of the gluon entering the hard scattering by the rest of the hadronic final state are studied using jets. A region of specific interest is that of forward jet production, where the DGLAP driven part of the cross section can be supressed, enhancing the effect of BFKL dynamics. |
